It only happens in the Philippines where you see movie actors and actresses on daily soap at night while actively doing movies on the side and at the same time busy hosting noontime or other shows. You don't see that happening in Hollywood where film actors and actresses focus on their craft. Like you don't see Jennifer Aniston or Angelina Joli hosting any show other than doing and perfecting their niche either in the movies or weekly soap. In this country everybody gets to do everything "kung puwede lang". It is kaswapangan to the max. How can we make the viewers separate the identities of a "Diyosa" or "Betty La Fea" from the girl hosts who laugh so animatedly and who don't look any bit like the characters they are portraying? It surely creates some amount of confusion and their characters in the soap become less credible. I mean, I do not want to see the "Diyosa" exchanging human pleasantries sans her wings and all in a noontime show, and I do not want to see Betty La Fea turned seductress in another show. I wish our local actors and actresses will find their niche and not hug every task. Give hosting tasks to those who can give their time and talent to this genre. Give the soap followers all the reason to look forward to every episode and to readily "suspend disbelief", ready to cry and get angry with the people who give life to the characters in the soap.
